About Captain PhD

My name is Sevket Suleyman Irtem. I have sailed as a deck officer in international shipping, and I hold a bachelor’s, master’s and PhD in Maritime Transportation Management Engineering.

Captain PhD is my project to make maritime knowledge easier to learn. Many of the games are based on the open textbooks from Marfag, licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0. Each game states its source and licence, and content adapted from Marfag is shared under the same licence.

The games are made for learning and do not replace official examinations or training. If you find an error, I would like to hear about it.
